Gotta love that hair

I love Symeon's hair, this is him right after his bath. It is so soft the curls don't stay but I love how cute he looks.

Symeon loves books

Symeon has always loved books but lately he enjoys sitting and looking at them all on his own. He still enjoys being read to but it is fun to see him "reading" on his own.

A wonderful day

Well thanks to so many of you for the warm wishes on my birthday. I had a wonderfully peaceful and restful day just what I was wanting. Shawn took me out on Saturday while our dear friends watched Symeon. I think we took about 2 hours to eat dinner it was such a blessing to spend some time talking and laughing together. Then we went shopping for some things for our home which was lots of fun. We then went home watched a movie and had some Carvel ice cream cake my favorite, I have one every year and I am never disappointed. On my birthday we spent a wonderful day at home together hanging out and playing with Symeon. I was able to bake some scones I had been wanting to make and I talked to lots of friends and family. I felt truly blessed and loved.

One Thing I love

Well there are so many things I love but the one thing I am talking about in this post in my new Blackberry Curve which Shawn surprised me with at Christmas. I have been talking about it for quite sometime and we had looked at them several times but I always had an excuse why I shouldn't get one. So my wonderful husband knowing I have a hard time buying gadgets for myself bought me one. So after using if for one month I must confess I love the thing and it has made my life so much easier. I have a really busy schedule working full time in a demanding job with a ton of responsibility and a varying schedule every week, Shawn having several jobs with different schedules, his hockey schedule, Symeon's appointments, our personal lives and now appointments for the new baby life was getting a bit crazy and hard to manage. I was always double booking myself and spending lots of time changing things around. I had a day planner but it was to big to carry so I had to do a lot by memory and then jot stuff on pieces of paper shoved everywhere. So here is a picture of my Backberry Curve and to say it is attached to my palm would be about accurate. Thanks honey for reducing my stress and making life more manageable with a great gift I would have never bought myself. So if any of you have been trying to decide whether or not to get one I would say give it a try life might get much simpler at least it did for me.

PJ's

I love little tiny pj's and the way kids look in them so when I saw these I had to get them for Symeon. I think he looks like a little man in these, every time he wears them Shawn and I get good laugh.

11 months

Symeon is 11 months old today and he is full of life. He is walking more than crawling and getting better and better each day. We have tried to catch him on video with little success but we will keep trying. Here are a few fun pictures of our guy he is getting so big and developing quite a personality.

Ok Symeon watches very little TV but he does love a good Simpson's episode. He will only watch about a minute then he is off to do his own thing but it is pretty fun.

Symeon loves baths this is after a fun time in the tub.

He loves anything that has to do with the computer so he was pretty excited to come upon this mouse.

This is him trying to climb over the back of the couch. He tries to climb everything these days.

Baby Peanut

Well I am just about 24 weeks along in my pregnancy and I am feeling really good. We had the ultra sound for Peanut (baby in the womb name) and all is well. The tech said it was good we didn't want to know what we were having because the baby kept their legs crossed the whole time.

Excuse my appearance this is after working a 10 hour day in the kitchen at Paxton cooking for 85 people.

Our sweet new baby!

To cut his hair or not?

Does Symeon need a hair cut\? I don't think he does but Shawn is starting to think he might. I mean he wakes up looking a little rough and it sticks out on the sides but I think it just reflects his fun loving personality. Honestly we are not going to cut it anytime real soon but I hope by writing about it I am preparing myself for the day that is to come. One more milestone in my little guy's life.

My hair doesn't look great and I had been awake for hours but I have an excuse I am trying to grow my hair out. There are many days when it looks really rough that I say I will not cut my hair I will not cut my hair. I usually cut it at this point because I just can't stand it but I will not cut my hair this time I am going to do it!!!!

Waking up is hard to do

Oh the love of the monkey

Austin and Clover bought Symeon a curious George stuffed animal and book for Christmas and he loves them. He goes wild for George whenever he seems him, wrestling him, hugging him, and playing with his ears it is really cute. Thanks Austin and Clover he loves George so much.

Oh Happy Days

Symeon is such a happy guy here are a few pics of him just enjoying life.

Shortly after this snuggly picture was taken Symeon fell off the bed. He landed on his feet some how and it didn't seem to phase him to much.

Symeon loves to be with his Dad and since Shawn spends a lot of time at the computer so does Symeon. Here he is enjoying a space just his size.

We took Symeon to the mall play area on a cold day last week and he loved it. I must admit all I could see were germs from other little kids but he was pretty happy so it was all worth it.

Yah for everything and anything!

I love to eat spaghetti! I think I am going to throw my arms up in the air to celebration a bit more it seems to be such fun.

Summing up Christmas

I had a hard time deciding on pics because we had so many but I think this one might sum up a part of Christmas for Shawn over the next several years.

Christmas Eve at Una Oma's

We had a great time with my extended family at my Oma's house who has been dubbed Una Oma by Austin and Clover and it has stuck. Which I guess you could translate as first Oma or first grandmother since my Mom also goes by Oma.

The whole family

Just the three of us and of course the one on the way.

Christmas

Well we had a nice Christmas not exactly what we expected but yet nice. We felt truly blessed to be surrounded by family and friends. We wish we could have spent more time with many of you but please know we treasured any moments we were able to share. We had a wonderful time in CT if only for a couple of days due to illness but I was reminded just how blessed we are.

Here are a few photos from our Christmas and I hope you all had a blessed holiday season.

Clover is never far from Shawn's side when we are in CT it is so sweet.

Austin and Clover got a WII and we all had a great time playing and lounging in their new gaming chairs from Oma and PaPaw.

My Mom knit this hat for Symeon it is so adorable.

Symeon got a Curious George and he loves it to say the least.

This is the birdhouse Austin built and painted for Papaw it was so sweet.

This is the mini Uncle Shawnie Clover got for Shawn.

Here is my crazy brother and his ever patient loving wife.

There are pictures of every kid with this Santa and Symeon loved him. In this pic he is signing more more which he just started to do although he does sign more for everything so sometimes it is quite the guessing game. We have been working with him on sign language and he seems to be getting it.

I love this picture of them Austin, Clover, and Symeon. I think it captures the essence of children at Christmas pure joy and laughter.
