Getting ready for Spring

The weather has been beautiful so I decided it was time to get my feet ready to be seen since soon it will be flip flop weather.  I brought out the paint and the kids swarmed me they both love having toe polish yes even Symeon.  So we all picked our colors and now we are ready.  Here are the finished projects.

Symeon chose purple and green toes and he added the Snow White stickers later which stayed on until his next bath and left sticky stuff all over his feet and then fuzz was stuck to them so the top of his feet have been sticky and black for about a week.  But his toes looked good!  Yes I did paint my sons toes no harm done but I have had a lot of people tell me they would never paint their sons toes.  I did and do paint them if he wants so express yourself Symeon it is fine with me.

I chose green but I am second guessing that choice it just looks a little weird with my skin.

Babes chose purple and it just looked so cute on her tiny little toes.

A little dress up

Marin loves to dress up and this is one of her fun ones.  She is wearing Cinderella pajamas a pair of shorts, Symeon's Superman tee shirt, and in the top picture she added my tee shirt.  She is so full of life and love!  I also love that she is carrying her floss in her one hand.  She loves flossing her teeth so much that we have to limit her to one floss per day.

Bike Riding with Dad

Shawn bought a new mountain bike and Symeon was helping him break it in around the neighborhood.  They were so sweet.

TP

Both of my kids love the TP roll in the bathroom and they often find unique ways of "needing" a piece that often has little to do with using the potty.  With that said I often find it strung through the play room and we have had multiple conversations about wasting things so the other day I walked into the bathroom and found  a pile of an entire roll of TP on the floor and after a conversation with Symeon and a confession I made him roll it back up which was not near as much fun as unrolling he let me know.  After he was done he left and I fell out laughing at this roll of TP.  It was really hard to use but I am hoping a lesson learned and if not I had a really good laugh every time I used the bathroom for several days.

Oh sweet Babes Mcgee

There are two things about this picture that make me laugh.  First I love the outfit she picked out for herself which she now does on a regular basis and you just never know.  Second she loves to wear Shawn's shin pads and once she straps them on she hits them and laughs.  The other day she had on a shirt, a diaper, the shin pads, and she was dancing on the small table in the play area with singing and playing the guitar.  I wish I had my camera because it was priceless.  She was singing a song she made up about Cinderella which goes something like this

Rella
Rella
Rella
Rella
with a lot of dancing and a ton of soul and a great tune.  Priceless!

Cinderella on Ice

I read Symeon and Marin the Cinderella book several times and now they are both in love with her especially Marin.  She has Cinderella pajamas and the other day at Target she pointed out every "Rella" she saw.  So when Cinderella on Ice came to town we decided to go and they loved it.  They both sat enthralled for the entire show and thanks to their ticket broker Dad we had great seats.  I also was able to fulfill a childhood dream because honestly I loved the Cinderella story as a kid and I always wanted to go to Disney on ice and I loved it as well but mostly because I loved watching them enjoy it so much.

I was trying to get the kids to look at me but as you can see Marin only had eyes for Rella as she would say.  At one point she stood up on Shawn's legs pointed at Rella on the ice and screamed her name in utter delight at the top of her lungs it was so funny.

One of our first attempts at a picture before the show started.

Oh those faces they were so sweet and we had such a fun time as a family.  Thanks Rella!

Babes loves Symeon's bed

Marin always wants to take a nap in Symeon's big boy bed and on this day she wanted all of her stuffed animals with her.  She was so sweet and she does sleep really well in his bed.

A March snow storm

Symeon loves to shovel and Marin loves to eat snow and since there will hopefully be only a few more light snows we had to enjoy what we could and quick before the sun melted it all.  So we put on our coats with our pj's and enjoyed a beautiful snow.

A little IPad time

They both can work an IPad easier than I can and they love to play games.  It is so funny to see them tapping the screen and the other day Symeon was sitting near me when I was using my lap top and he said is that a touch screen and I said No and he was like Oh, like I was so old school.  I am sure this will not be the last time they surpass me in technology I just thought I had a few more years.
