Vacation in San Francisco

Shawn had to go to SF for work so we tagged along for a fun family vacation.  We had such a good time and we are so blessed that our kids love to travel and fare very well with sleeping, trying new things, no schedule, sight seeing, and all around hanging out.  They both love and adventure as much as their parents.

We love SF and have been wanting to take the kids so this was perfect timing.  The weather was great for us low 70's not to sunny a slight breeze all around gorgeous.  The kids loved so much of the trip and they were amazed that in the place we stayed there was a TV in every room it blew their minds so the little TV they did watch was from the top bunk of the beds in the room they shared.

Muir Woods

Symeon is our little hiker he can go for miles or hours which ever and loves every minutes.  No complaining nothing and if there are hills going up he is pretty sure he didn't hike.

The beach, we spent a ton of time I seemed to be the only person who  minded that the water was freezing.

Pretty sure she is trying to boss around the waves in this picture, Mother Nature might be the only force big enough to tangle with Babes.

The most amazing husband enjoying one of his favorite places in the world!

Helping Shawn drive the hills of San Fran

The kids loved Lombard street so we drove down it as often as we could such tourists!

The TV perch and I am so glad that a TV in every room was a new concept for them and not something they would ever see in our house.

The Playground, sometimes vacation is not that different than everyday life

Ahh some healthy eating, at least the second picture

A street performer Symeon and Marin thought was awesome and Shawn was not thrilled to sit and watch but we stayed a few gave a few bucks and left.

The cable car was a huge hit especially for Babes and her drama this might as well been her personal stage for fun and entertaining the crowd.

A huge jump house to blow off a bit of energy, even the young guys working thought our kids were crazy and a bit dangerous they had the employees cracking up with their moves and wrestling.

Lunch at the Rainforest Cafe as you can see Marin was a bit scared of the huge elephant when it made a ton of noise.

A boat ride around the bay and Alcatraz which has sparked an obsession with jail that is surprising, just today a month or more later Symeon told Marin she was going to jail and she came crying to me that she did not want to go to Alcatraz.

She was out cold in this picture crown over her eyes and all she slept like this for quite some time.  Vacation is heard on a princess.

I don't have any pictures of the funniest part of the trip when a group of Asian tourists asked us to take a picture.  Well I thought they meant they wanted us to take a picture of them which I was willing to do so I said yes.  Well next thing I knew they were posing with Symeon and Marin while an entire bus group crowded around them.  They could not believe there was a blonde and red head together and so small.  They took a ton of pictures while Symeon and Marin stood in front of them looking confused at best.  I let it go for a minute until one guy was trying to get them to pose and speaking in another language which sounded like he was mad but I don't think he was but to Symeon and Marin it sounded like yelling and they looked at me and I stepped in to stop the photo shoot.  Honestly it was so funny and happened so fast that Shawn and I did not get a  picture nor did we  think about it until it was to late.

Eating at our favorite Italian restaurant, love this picture of Marin slurping up spaghetti

To finish off Italian night we had gelatto

 Our favorite crepes place

A concrete slide in the hill at the playground was a huge hit you had to sit on a cardboard box to slide down which just added to the fun.

I love this series of pictures since Symeon and Marin saw this round area as their stage and an opportunity to put on a show for the entire playground.  I love Marin's faces but the best part is that clueless guy who sat through the program without even knowing he was participating.  It did not stop Symeon or Marin the show must go on regardless of who is sitting on your stage.

One day we stopped and walked down and up Lombard street the kids seemed to like Shawn's crazy driving on the crooked street rather than the street itself.

We stayed across the street from a fire station and we were all quite intrigued by the happenings everyday especially when they would bring out the trucks to clean and test the "stuff".  On our last day they had the trucks in the street with the ladders up and the doors open so we had a tour.  The kids were able to get in the truck and have a tour of the fire house.  I love it as much as they did although they enjoyed the trucks and I enjoyed the view of the firefighters.

Every time we walked by this church the kids would yell there's Jasmin'e castle is  princess in there today.  We went along with the castle theme although on our last day we explained that it was a church not a castle but they both held strong that we were wrong and it was a castle for sure so we took their picture in front of a real castle.  I love this picture because Marin is enjoying singing and Symeon looks so big like a little boy.

We had such a great time as a family enjoying the a city we love and hope the kids will love as well.  I think we are off to a good start considering this trip and all our adventures.  See you soon San Fran!
